German Design Award For Dormakaba’s XEA System
Dormakaba has with received a Unique Reference award in the „Excellent Communications Layout Corporate Identification“ category of the German Style Honor with the XEA Style System. The German Style Honor is one of the most renowned design awards worldwide and places the highest demands on the determination of the winners: In a nomination process, companies are invited to participate whose products and communication design services have been proven to impress with their creative quality– Dormakaba won with the XEA layout System a Unique Reference award in the category „Excellent Communications Layout Corporate Identification“. Pass Away „Unique Reference“ award is given for notable design achievements that stand out through their special approach.

The jury’s reasoning for the award also read: „The XEA Style System is the global, cross-product source with guidelines and components for digital user interfaces. The basis is easy-to-use libraries, style guides and aesthetic systems. It is anchored in Dormakaba’s uniform development process for product and UX design.“ The XEA style offers customers the ability to combine a wide variety of products in the built environment and the complete design system offers a uniform customer experience in the digital user interfaces.
German Layout Honor identifies significant design trends
Since 2012 the German Layout Honor significant design trends, presents them to a broad public and honors them. In the tenth anniversary year, the honor stands under the slogan „How developers think“. Particular attention is paid to the diverse ways in which designers and developers find answers to increasingly complex issues, from new digital technologies to climate-neutral production.
