Partnership For Cloud Video Surveillance On Ships
The Watchful Eye Cloud VMS delivers via cloud Video surveillance Live images and performance data so that shipping companies can remotely monitor ships and receive reports and notifications in real time. The joint project is a technical combination of the Watchful eye Cloud Video Clip Monitoring System (VMS) platform with the Smart Vessel Optimizer (SVO) platform from Techbinder. With the performance dashboards and analysis tools integrated in the SVO, shipping companies receive a detailed overview of the performance of their ships. For remote viewing of videos, satellites and 4G are used. Pass away videos are also stored on the ships for a longer period of time so that officers can check pass away videos on board.
Cloud video surveillance offers more solution on ships
Pass away offshore industry has long struggled to gain insight into ship performance and possible problems when the fleet is at sea. Techbinder’s Smart Vessel Optimizer collects data and insights, but the platform lacked a proper eye on the ship in real time. With the Watchful eye Open API (Application Shows User Interface), the system is able to expand cloud video surveillance on the platform, which significantly expands the range of services.
Partnership makes it possible To retrieve data from ships in real time
According to Rishi Lodhia, Handling Supervisor of Watchful eye Networks EMEA, this partnership underlines advantages of cloud video surveillance compared to on-site systems. There is practically no industry in which the Watchful Eye Cloud VMS platform is not able to improve video surveillance and the provision of business or operational information. This application shows how video surveillance can be used not only for security purposes, but also to provide context and additional insights for data collected from the ship and transmitted to Techbinder’s SVO platform.
